Mountain Pleasure Horses

I raise and sell Mountain Pleasure Horses.  These horses can be traced back 180 years.  By breeding for temperament and gait these horses are wonderful additions to novice riders and handlers.  They are easily trained and have wonderful dispositions.
Here are some of my horses that I have raised and trained.  This is Dusty, he is a gelding and is green broke.  He is 3 years old and has a wonderful temperment.

This is my granddaughter who is 7 years old riding Dancey.  She looks like she is having lots of fun!!

This is my granddaughter Kayla riding Dancey also.  We had a wonderful weekend riding and hanging out with friends.
This is candy when she was a few days old.  We watched her being born.  What a wonderful experience.  She is very special.  She is now 2 years old.
Here she is getting ready for the horse show in 2009.  My granddaughter fixed her hair.  Cute!!  She looks like she would like to go to sleep.

Stay tuned for more about Mountain Pleasure Horses!!

Opie

This is my cat. It is not an ordinary cat. She is very unusual and thinks she is a dog; however, she is terrified of dogs. She goes for hikes in the woods with me and she even goes over creeks and through mud. She talks to you and lets you know what she wants.

She goes out doors and loves to hunt frogs, lizards, and bugs. She is my constant companion even when I want to be alone.

She thinks I am her mother and loves to sleep with me. She thinks my husband is someone just to play and fight with.

She has blue eyes and her father had some Siamese in him (I think), thus the marking of a Siamese.

She follows me to the horse barn and chicken house but she is very afraid of horses and chickens. This is my cat and friend.

Great weekend

I hope everyone got out and enjoyed this beautiful weather.  We had a wonderful weekend with friends in the Red River Gorge.  If you have never been, it is one of life treasures.

First we drove to Gladie where there was a welcome center with a nature museum that told the history of this area.  There were facts about the animals and plant life found in this area.  Also at Gladie we saw this great cabin.  Here is a picture of the cabin.
We also have in this area a large leaf magnolia tree for which we found these huge leaves.

Here we are with Smoky the Bear and friends.

Hope you will join us in more adventures and stories.
